Page settings

Use pagination

If enabled, the layout engine will create pages, inserting headers and footers if needed. For PDF styles, the page style can be specified in the template. For display styles, the app uses the visible size of the screen.
Default value: No

Document margins

These are the margins of the content in a page.
Default value: 8pt. Horizontaly, 16pt. vertically, non scalable

Page orientation (PDF only)

Notes names

Defines how notes are labeled in the app.
Default value: Standard: C, D, E, F, G, A, B

Page orientation

If “Landscape” is selected, the app will use transposed page dimensions. Otherwise, it will use the dimensions directly.
Default value: Portrait

Duplex (PDF only)

Two sided document

If enabled, the app will alternate layout of header and document margins from one page to another.
Default value: true

Binding of first page to the right

If enabled, the app will assume that the first page is on the left of a side-to-side two pages layout. Otherwise, it will assume the first page is on the right.
Default value: false

Columns

Number of columns

If the number of columns is greater than 1, the app will lay out content in columns. This affect only the content and not affect the frontmatter nor the header and footer
Default value: 1

Compact columns

If enabled, the app distribute content into columns such as the height of the columns is the smallest possible. Otherwise, the app fill all the available space on the page before starting a new column. Please note that is setting is automatically enabled if you select a columned layout without pagination.
Default value: true

The Column style defines the appareance of columns when they are allowed
